November is Here!

It was a fun week at RBES! The kids did a great job staying focused with all the exciting things we had going on around here. Our Halloween party was lots of fun and the kids who came to school after trick or treating made great choices. I was prepared for super sleepy kids today but they did great!

Thanks so much to the families who provided food for our Halloween celebration! If you haven't checked out the October photos lately, please do so. You can also see our class t-shirts.

Here are a few highlights of our week:

  • We wrote a paragraph about why we love Halloween (each month they will do an activity like this so we can see their growth)
  • We worked on another math mystery where the kids used a variety of math skills to solve clues
  • The kids worked on a project where they were given materials and they had to build a fence. This required great teamwork and problem solving. There are some pictures in photos.
  • We almost competed our unit on Exploring Liquids. We will finish up one final activity on Monday.
  • We worked on underhand and chest passes in gym.
Next week the kids will start to practice songs for the Christmas concert coming up next month. We will also start to power through the mapping unit we started a while back. Social has been pushed to the side lately because there's been so many other things going on.We will also start working on some Remembrance day activities. Remember that next Wed is early dismissal and then the kids are off for fall break on Nov 11-13.

I wish you all a great weekend! Let me know if you are interested in joining us on our field trip later on in Nov. So far I have 3 parent volunteers.
